Regular subscribers to our concerts are familiar with many of the great achievements and honors which have adorned Charles Wadsworth's career. They also know of his versatility, his finely tuned talents as a pianist and host. Perhaps not as well known are his behind-the-scenes activities. As an impresario, he works painstakingly arranging concerts and tours. Residing in New York, he knows all the top musicians who live or perform there, and he selects only the finest. At concert rehearsals he is the stage manager. Everything must be perfect — lighting, sound equipment, placement of furniture, etc. Two weeks ago, his demand for perfection had him walking down Broughton Street. He had mistakenly packed a brown pair of socks, so he set out to buy a black pair. His appearance on stage required it.

Jeremy Denk, pianoJeremy Denk's unusual background includes a double degree in chemistry and piano from Oberlin College, a master's degree from Indiana University and a doctorate from the Juilliard School. Widely travelled as a solo musician and a chamber music performer, including 80 appearances with violinist Joshua Bell, he keeps a weblog, "Think Denk", a mixture of observations, musical and otherwise.

Soovin Kim, violinBorn in the U.S., Soovin Kim started to play the violin at age 4, and was accepted in the Cleveland Institute at age 15. Later he attended the
Curtis Institute of Music. His career has included extensive tours of North America, Europe and Asia, with appearances at major venues and with leading orchestras. Among his several top honors is a coveted Avery Fisher grant. He lives in New York with his wife Joanne, and he teaches at Yale and at Bard College.

Edward Arron, celloA native of Cincinnati, Edward Arron made his New York debut at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where he is now the Artistic Coordinator. He is in great demand throughout the concert world. As the Associate Director of the Charles Wadsworth Concerts, he will appear in Savannah at all four concerts of Charles Wadsworth & Friends. Having narrative skills as well as a unique musical talent, he will take part in the descriptive remarks before each selection.
