Savannah Concert Association - The Classical Music You Love to Hear

"If music be the food of love, play on." -- Shakespeare

Gary Graffman, pianistWelcome the Savannah Concert Association's 2007 - 2008 season. Eight events will be heard Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm in the either the elegant Lucas Theatre or the Trustees Theater, both venues which are located in Savannah's Historic District.

Savannah's rich musical history goes back to its founding in 1733, when General Oglethorpe arrived with a fife and drum corps. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the city had numerous concerts each year featuring local and visiting talent. From 1953 to 2003, it had its own much admired Savannah Symphony.

This tradition inspires the Savannah Concert Association to present top-rated musicians performing great masterworks. Its growing audiences enjoy the live artistry of eminent personalities of our times.

This is the classical music that you love to hear.
